Welcome to Ms. Nget Pageant 2006, the first ever 'beauty' pageant inside the Big Brother House. Of course with two in house beauty titlists, who else would Big Brother give this task of Ms. Nget to but to Clare and Brenda. The Lass from Bukidnon and the Amazing Amerasian represented people who are beautiful inside and out. Complete with hosts, judges, a talent competition, even a serenade -- this is one beauty contest you would not want to miss.

Contestant No.1…

Earlier today, the housemates were called to the living room to watch a special screening from Big Brother. The minute the show started, Brenda started to wail, realizing that it were clips from her last beauty pageant Ms. Zambales-Tourism 2005. So that was the reason why Big Brother’s wake up call this morning was Brenda and Clare’s talk about their question and answer woes during beauty contests. Brenda won first runner-up but when the Ms. Zambales-Tourism was dethroned, she assumed the crown and the title.

Clare seeing this braced herself for the worst. She couldn’t believe that her mom let the Big Brother staff have their hands on the video. “Ako lang ang maitim sa contest na yan!” she commented. She asked Big Brother not to show the other housemates the question and answer portion. “Puro mali po ang sagot ko!” she pleaded.

Imang is that you?  

When Brenda and Clare were called to the confession room, the other four housemates already guessed that Big Brother must have a new task for the two. Kuya instructed them to stay in the boys’ bedroom. Meanwhile, Clare and Brenda had a ‘make-over’ and were to stay hidden inside the girls’ bedroom. They had a bit of a beauty slip before their real task started.

Soon the boys were told to retrieve their costumes. Jamilla and Kim were instructed to dress in smart casual clothes. Mikee and Gerald were the appointed hosts and the two girls will be acting as judges for the Ms. Ngets Pageant 2006. “Bakit Ms. Nget?” Jam wondered out loud.

And now we will be seeing the girls in their evening gowns…  

Big Brother signaled the start of the competition. The judges and hosts upon his orders took their places on and in front of the stage. Gerald and Mikee at first were nervous for this was their first time to host for a beauty contest. But shortly, they were able to get the hang of it. The two then called out the contestants to the stage. This was the first time they saw Brenda and Clare and it was funny to see their shocked reactions. Now you know why it’s called Ms. Nget guys.

Like a real beauty pageant, the contest was divided into parts – the regional costume competition, swimsuit competition, talent portion and of course the question and answer portion. Since it was a unique pageant, Big Brother added new segments like the physical competition, night wear competition which was separate from the evening gown portion. Weird as it maybe, Brenda and Clare gamely did all that was asked of them.

But Big Brother did not exempt the hosts and judges from performing. They were tasked to do special numbers like ramp modeling and serenading the contestants. The hosts who got comfortable on stage even had a question and answer portion with Jamilla and Kim. “Gaano na kayo katagal na judge ng mga ganitong pageant?” was Gerald’s pressing question to them. “Ah, mga 40 years na siguro,” was Jamilla’s retort, establishing their credibility as judges.
